All i really need to finish out my thru hiking list is a lightweight 2 person tent(since tent makers say it can fit two people if they sleep military style shoulder to shoulder) it was foolish of me to sell a solo eureka tent that i found on here , was perfect, but after my plan for a thru fell ..well..thru that year anytime i looked at it, it kept reminding me of the lost trip so i sold it, as matter of fact think it was to someone on here..hooray for gear recycling but it still leaves me in need of a good thru hiking tent.

You would think some of the devoted hammockers would have some good stuff gathering dust. I know I would try a tarptent if I saw one at a steep discount.

Hammock hanger here with a dusty tent. Actually my son's and he wants a new fangled jet boil and expensive tarp so I may sell it to by more gear.

Anyway, it is a Golite Den 2 (http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/golite_den_2_tent_review.html) like the one in the link. His is gray and in great shape. Although not a steep discount, $125.00 would get it shipped in the conus.

About that tent I just mentioned...

... based on a quick google search I see that I am out of the market on price since you can find it new here (http://www.backcountryoutlet.com/outlet/GOL0010/GoLite-Den-2-Shelter-2-Person-3-Season.html?CMP_ID=SH_FRO002&CMP_SKU=GOL0010&mv_pc=r126). Let's put the "not a steep discount" price at $110.00. Still not a super hot price so I may just keep it, but it's an option for you.

I recently purchased the Sierra CD Flashlight 2 (3.6 lbs) sleeps 2 tightly. But I like it.

I'm a hanger and have quite a few tents just can't seem to get back into the tenting thing. I have a Sierra Designs Flashlight that was very lightly used, and a brand new Sierra Designs Lightining 2 I would be willing to part with, if your interested PM me and I'll give you the particulars.

The wife and I have a Rainshadow Two, That is a very big tent, I have gone to hammocking, and it is two big for her and the dog. We normally fit both of us, and the Gear, and a 90+ lbs Lab.

Plenty of room, just need to be aware that it is a lightwieght tent and should be treated as such. Not delicate, by any means, but needs to be set up on duff that drains, and in the right direction with consideration to wind. On the last trip the dog ripped to holes in the netting that have been "fixed" with thread, but could be redone.

My wife is getting a Montbell Cresent Two, and we might be willing to get rid of this one. It has been used maybe 10 nights total..

Good luck, let us know if you want to, we are going out this weekend, so we will be more apt to have an answer after.

Thanks
