With everyone buying new Blackbirds, I suggest that you place this WTB over on www.hammockforums.net. You'll probably get a good deal there. Seems like I saw one yesterday for $80, but $100 is what they usually go for.

I have a spare HHULB w/stock tarp and snake skins that I would sell for 100.00 + shipping.

That is a good deal on a good hammock.

Check Hennessy's website, they have an odds and ends sale of demos/etc marked way down. If you are serious about hammock camping I reccomend that you order the hammock sans tarp and buy a Macat Deluxe tarp from OES.

Thanks, Redhat, I have an ad on Hammock Forums, too. I knew my chances for a used HH were good, as many people seem to be going to other types.
UncleMJM, 100 bucks is still too much for my budget. And,I'll certainly check out HH website for an odd&end special. Thanks to all.

Update, I'm a proud owner of a HHUL. Can't wait to get started "hanging".

Congratulations and welcome to the world of comfort in the trees!

Now you need to really live on hammockforums to learn all the ins and outs of tree dwelling.

One great way to shorten the learning curve is to hit the road and attend a group hang.

Don't be shy with questions and have fun.

You can't do "too much" testing at home under all types of weather situations. I had never had mine out in such hot / humid conditions until this week in Maryland. Very hot and clamey under the bug net at 1am - even with the tarp off. Thursday night I must have moved enough to open the bottom slit as Friday morning I had bug bites on both legs near the slit. If I hadn't washed my legs and feet each night - which removed the Deet - I probably wouldn't have gotten bit so much.

Dont forget to insulate the bottom... a sleeping bag in the hammock will not cut it alone...Please do not become a learned it the hard way victim :-?

I've got a Hennessey hammock that I'm willing to sell. Been gently used a few times. Even rain checked. Send me a PM if you're intersted

When Black Birds do get listed they go fast. Very confortable hammock. Just back from a group hang and no one had a HH but there were several BB's.
