I just received an email from one of my customers who had purchased an Imusa mug for cooking. He, like many others, was using a silicon wrist band as a lip guard for his mug. Apparently it was a tight fit, but worked fine for 4-5 boils, when without warning it snapped with enough force to cause the pot/stove to tip, causing a small fire, which he quickly put out. Apparently the combo of heat and a tight fit is a bad combination, so be careful with this setup.
