Tonight you can watch the AT Documentary on the National Geographic Channel. The preview trailor is on thebackpacker.tv (http://thebackpacker.tv/2009/11/10/appalachian-trail-by-national-geographic) Looks pretty cool.
Airs tonight November 10th at 7:00 PM (not sure what time zone)?

Wife and I enjoyed the nat geo doc. but was some what dissapointed. We were going to go to Asheville NC to partake in the activities there for it. Glad that we didn't waste our gas. really hate to say it though! We were expecting more out of the doc. of the trail itself, the shelters and all the wonderfull people that you can meet. But they mainly talked about the wildlife on the AT and verry little about trail life, like what i have experienced. What is everyone's oppinions on this?
