Does anyone have any experiences or opinions on these two tents? I am looking at buying one or the other.

Thanks.

I used the Zoid 2 for most of my 2003 thru-hike and I HIGHLY recommend it to anybody. When it rains you wont get wet in the least. The Zoid 1.5 is the same tent but smaller and weighs around 3.5 lbs in total. If you are shorter or smaller than the avg. female you might want to look into the Zoid 1. The Micro Zoid is a joke if you ask me. It's like a tappered pine box !!! Enjoy

I use a Zoid 2 too and am satisfied with weight, setup and reliability after 4 years of section hiking. I wanted a Zoid 1.5 but this 2.0 came along on sale. For me (5'10", 150lb) the 1.5 would have been perfect, the 2.0 is big but I can move around and lay stuff out inside no problem and the rain fly setup can allow me to cook right out side the door without getting wet in the rain or burning down the house. Can use the rainfly w/o the tent for tarptent solution..

I think this is the new version of the old Walrus Swift (1 1/2 person) tent. I use the Swift and love it. Its very durable, waterproof, light, has great ventilation and easy to pitch. Can't beat it.
