As a bigger hiker I have FUN finding gear, sleeping nags and tents.
I need a 3 person tent just for me most of the time.
I am 6'8 and about 300 lbs.
Anyone have info on "strong" and "sturdy" hammocks?
Thanks:-?
check out the ENO doublenest. 400lb limit, plenty wide and longer than most hammocks.

Hennessey makes the Deep Jungle XL for 7 foot and 300 pound right out of the box. Most of these hammock manufacturers are pretty small so they may be able to do some custom work without costing a bundle. I suggest contacting each one and seeing what they can do for you. I had Hennessey make me a heavier rated Ultralight and the only difference was ropes from the Explorer. Since it was such a small change it was no extra charge.

I'm 6'3" and 250 and I use the ENO Doublenest, with a silnylon tarp for a cover. I find it plenty comfortable and dependable. Never felt like it would let me down, literally:eek:
