Does that include the 70 mph winds, snow and sleet that I experienced when I did it in August one year? It was the hardest thing that I ever did.

Yikes! We had sunny skies, 70 degrees and a light breeze two Augusts ago. :)

I'm headed there this mothers day weekend and just wondered about the trail conditions from 302 N to Mizpah and S to Ethan Pond

The best way to check the conditions is to read trail reports from the area on either viewsfromthetop.com and http://www.newenglandtrailconditions.com/
There is currently still significant snow above 3000 feet and there were several recent trail reports in the area that snowshoes are still recomended due to deep snow that is getting rotten. The area got 2 feet of snow last wednesday up high and that in combination with the earlier snowpack is going take awhile to melt. I would expect the Webster Cliff trail from 302 up to the top wont be bad but from the north end to jackson there will be snow in spots over to Mt Jackson with more significant snow in the woods from Jackson to Mitzpah. If its cold enough you may be able to bareboot with traction aids on the "monorail" but then again this time of the year its akin to walking along a greased pole.
I would expect the trail to Ethan Pond from RT 302 to be muddy for the last 1/2 mile but there shouldnt be snow at that elevation.

Yes we're still going, It's the Whites you can't take'm lightly that's why I got a heads up on conditions, sounds like a deep slushy challenge in spots but we'll be prepared. We had snow & showers at Sages Ravine MA/CT, last Wednesday
Black Flies are out in MASS....
