Lady Slippers Blooming in NY

I was surprised to see them blooming this past weekend as it is touch early but I found numerous specimens of one of my favorite trail flowers!


Also found some Japanese Primrose in a swampy area which I am assuming migrated down stream from a planting :) still cool to take pics of!

Saw what looked to be a Jack in the Pulpit today while i was out clearing my section. What was odd was that it was in a swampy field where I had not seen them before. I'll try to post a pick when I get one taken.
