The site has been down since at least January.
No idea of what happened there.

Kinda reminds me of trail journalists who just go "POOF" and are gone without so much as either an explanation or even a decent "bye."

Not good, in other words.

Just found some Google information indicating that Fanatic Fringe was down for reconstruction. Perhaps it will be up again soon.

Does anyone know the name of the guy who used to run fanatic fringe? I see that the present owner of the domain is Chris Reddy, is he the same guy?

I used Fanatic Fringe packs on a few thru hikes. They were pretty sweet, but Mountain Laurel Designs makes a much better product. After removing the hipbelt on the Exodus, the weight is almost the same. The MLD packs have WAY better shoulder straps too. The FF straps were very narrow and hurt my shoulders coming out of town after a full resupply.

It's a shame Fanatic Fringe is gone though. Their packs were very affordable, and the craftsmanship (besides the shoulder straps) was good. I still have one I keep as a loaner for friends wanting to experiment with ultralight backpacks.
