View Full Version : Need big pack.Can be heavy,cheap.
Looking for a big, ugly, backpack. Something that can be adjusted to fit a BIG guy. It can be heavy, as the first year of hiking will be more for training purposes. I thing, I am looking for CHEAP.

I have a huge 5,000 Cubic inches pack that I can let go of. It's actually not too heavy either for its features, sub 5 pounds. I can take pictures if you are interested and talk about a price.
I am plus-sized, and I found my pack in the "Selling Used Gear" section of this forum. I took pains to deal with someone that lived near me as I wanted to be certain of the fit (I had had problems with the local camping store, though that may have been due to the sales staff.). My woman's Go-lite Odyssey is almost perfect for me; I wanted a longer waist belt, so I took my pack and extra strap to a shoe repair shop for alterations.
Since you are going for cheap, short-term, look at the Wally-World pack--This is not a recommendation, just a suggestion that you look to see if it will work for you.
