Good news:
LUXURYLITE has just introduced the RadLite at 1.75 lbs.
Looks like they put the standard Luxlite external frame on a diet and added Cuben Fiber Cylinders.
Bad news:
Cuben Fiber and custom made by hand equals $499.

Why white? My reaction to the color was the same as walking into a house with white carpeting or seeing white furniture in a store "No way is that going to stay clean longer than a few minutes!" Is the idea to reflect the sun's heat maybe? I always buy my packs in dark colors, but then again most manufacturers only make them in dark colors.....

Cuben fiber mostly comes in white. There are a few different varieties of the material and I think there are a few other colors in those varieties but the variety most often used in outdoor gear only comes in white.

Joe over a www.zPacks.com uses a mint green color for most of his Cuben stuffsacks. Just thought the fashion conscious among you would like to know.

Actually, he offers a heavier duty Cuben foodsack that he says mice haven't been able to nibble through. It weighs half of what my prior silnyl sack did, plus it stays dry in the rain if I loop the rope around the toggled opening. Just wish it had a loop on the bottom for a mini-biner.
