I'll be 69 the next month, heh heh. I say we postpone it 'til then for leaf-peeping and other purposes. ...
I thought he meant 8:35pm. I couldn't figure out why anyone would want to eat lunch so late at night.

If it makes any difference to anyone, the first Saturday in Sept. 2035 falls on the first of the month and there will be a new moon that night.

I'll be 81 and-a-half. No one can remember anyone on my father's side of the family ever living past 80.
Finally, something to live for.

I'll only be 57 and going strong! (Hopefully)
I plan on living forever. So far so good, right?
No can do! I'll be on my thru that year and can't be sure of being done by that date.
Errrr... on second thought maybe one of the grandkids can bring my ashes to the party.
OK, I've rescheduled some labour day stuff so I'm good to go.
Is there any sort of training I should do between now and then?
I've already started dehydrating some prunes. Will they keep?

The picture in my mind of gumming a 25 year old dried prune is the way I wanted to start my day!:banana

Predictions Matty: Regardless of pitching and 'maybe' hitting your Phil’s will not get to World Series because they don't know how to unload the bases when it counts, as for your Eagles, Vick ( a very good QB, imo) will get a sack injury due to poor Eagles 'D' and Kolb will be back to give them more of the same old same old. By the way watch out for McNabb this weekend.
And oh yea, this hike will take place even though I'll be dead. Anyone want to carry my ashes up to the Pinnacle.

I'm definitely in. By that time, I may actually have to start using those silly hiking poles. But then again, by 2035, they may have those levitation modules you strap onto your boots so we can go Jetson-like down the trail.....
...

Hey, you're younger than me and I plan on being there... but doubt I could do the Pinnacle... great spot though

Hey, if we are all anal enough to cut the handle off our toothbrushes to save 5 grams of pack weight, we are anal enough to plan a day hike in 1035 :D
For me, I plan on setting the record for the oldest person to do a GA-ME-GA yo-yo hike that year, so I'm out.

It is a joke, and we're really planning it.

I think you mean 2035.
The 1035 hike already happened. Robert II, Duke of Normandy (Trail Name: Robert the Magnificent), died during the 1035 hike while in Turkey. It was a Yo-Yo hike to Jerusalem & back, and he died on the return trip.
hey ought we to have a meet and greet before we do this hike? i propose something around fall 2030...

No point in meeting ahead of time. We will forget each other's names before the hike starts anyway.
What?
