View Full Version : Bone chips
During the thanksgiving outing I experienced some knee pain at about 8 miles. No pop or grinding it just was a sharp sudden pain.
Finally got to my ortho doc yesterday, after some xrays it appears I have two bone chips. I am scheduled for an MRI next week to look at the medicus. It may be damaged and he would not talk beyond waiting to look at the MRI.
Look to the group for your experiences????

Medicus? That's a golf training club, and it's supposed to be broken ;) Sorry, I'm a golfer.

Ah, you meant Meniscus. Yeah, no one here will comment on that until we see your MRI - and we'll want a consult fee too. Seriously, could be so many things. There's a lot of stuff inside a knee. Successful treatments can be anything from anti-inflammatories to arthroscopic surgery to joint replacement. The good news is almost everybody makes a reasonably good recovery from knee problems these days if they follow their medical and therapy plan.
Be a patient patient. ;)
Just interested in hearing about how they had their injury treated and their outcome.
Anything they felt they should have done in hindsight

Lostone,
There is already a thread going on this. It was started by Freebom Walker and titled Verdict on Knee is in... t deals with exactly what you are talking about. It is found in this very thread.
