I am new to White Blaze and it looks like I'll have to post 30 posts before I can sell something on the used gear forum. I don't think I'll reach 30 posts before setting out on the trail this April. Does anyone know where I can sell a virtually never used woman's Osprey Aura backpack? I used it once and then found a Gregory pack I like better. I'd like to try to sell it to a happy home. Any suggestions on what other sites I could post details would be much appreciated.

Keep posting Cora ; only 28 more to go.;) Seriously though , Check Craigslist , Ebay or local library's that allow posting "for sale" items.

Trailspace.com has a classified section in their forum area. You can post your gear their for sale.

:welcome

Are you my twin? :p That was my exact situation - bought the Osprey Aura 50 Med sight unseen, tried it briefly when I bought it, then fell sick for a few weeks and when I tried it properly with weight it was too tall for me. I'm an average gal but apparently my torso is rather short. Couldn't return it, tried to sell it here (no takers, unfortunately), sold it to my MIL.

Went to Moosejaw/REI/Uncle Dan's in Chicago and the ONLY pack that fit me properly was a Gregory Jade 50 in Small - the spitting image of the Osprey, except a short torso with an adjustable hipbelt for my medium hips. Excellent pack, a bit heavy (3 lbs, 2 oz.) but fits me perfectly. The Osprey Aura 50 in Small was too small.

Look around the forums - I find something that piques my interest at least a few times - there's plenty to comment on, you'll be able to post your bag here in 3 days' time.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I had someone interested, but she just bailed. So now I'm back to square one. I figure as we approach the warmer months, more people will be interested.

No regrets though, glad I ultimately found a pack that fits me well.

Cheers,
Cora
