My first thought was Lone Wolf should be one of the hosts. Not sure who to pair him up with.
It's important the co-hosts complement each other well. Ideally:
A man and a woman
A long distance hiker (thru or 2,000 section miler) and a short-distance hiker
A gearhead and someone to spoof the gearhead
A youngster and an oldster
A southerner and a northerner
Alky stove user and a white gas user
Tenter and hammocker
Shelter user and non-shelter user
A WB member and a non-WB member (yes, there are lots of AT lovers not on WB)
I'm confident we can come up with some combination!
I'm sure we can

That's a great list and would make for some interesting debates!

whenever hosts of such shows want something from a company for free, they just have to ask on the air. a caller asks about a stove the hosts dont know about, they mention on air, that msr or whatever company, send them half a dozen to pass out to their staff at the station as to form an oppinion. companies want the blessings of such famouse hosts as baltimore jack and pirate.so what we need to do is gather so much free gear each year that the show can give away a hike each season. we could give a winter hike to some fool who wouldnt be able to quit cause we'd be watching him so closely.eventualy we could give away tripple crown packages but at first we will give away things like rubber snakes and coconut monkeys to callers as gifts.
