My Death Valley trip got a bit derailed due to an injury. So, I only got in 90 of the 240 miles that I had planned on. But, I'm safe and sound and looking forward to the summer with a fever. A write up of the trip and pictures can be found on my web page at

Cool Pictures. It has been a while since I was in that kind of desert. That toe looked funky.

It was one of the oddest blisters I've ever had. Not especially painful, though. The toe looks really ugly right now.

I would love to hike in desert again. Carrying all that water is a pain in the butt, but the pay off can be huge.

I love the first slide (d21) of the trip's web page. That's a great picture.

I know what you mean about debating whether to go on or not and feeling disappointed and unfulfilled at not completing what you set out to do, but there will be other trips. Best of luck and thanks for posting.
