Hi all, need some help, what is the best/easiest way to get from Damascus North via Amtrak? Roanoke?

I believe that Amtrak runs to Abingdon, which is west of Damascus. Other than that, Roanoke will be the closest.

Its either Clifton Ridge, Danville, or Lynchburg for Amtrak.

You will probably have an easier time with Greyhound to Marion VA.

The closest in straight-line miles Amtrak station is Salisbury, NC, 98 miles. At Winston-Salem (91 miles from Damascus) you can get a local transit authority bus to High-Point, NC (110 miles from Damascus) which has an Amtrak station.

Here's the Amtrak National Timetable (14.3 Megabytes):

There's probably bus service much closer.
