Well, here is my first poem guys, man you KNOW I must be bored at work!
As I stoically work in this stiff office chair
I can't help but dream, of the crisp mountain air
My life on my back, I stroll through with ease
Happy I'm not walking the black asphalt streets
Dinner in a bag, it sounds great to me
And later no bathrooms, just my pick of trees
Here life is simple, just the basics in bags
No stress in the workplace, as my paycheck still lags
No tv, no cell phone, just my footsteps I hear
Just pleasure, not nervous and certainly not fear
My legs hold me up, as I hike paths for days
Cheeks slight red painted, from the soft cloud burst rays
The picturesq setting, of the slowly dropping sun
Makes worlds just seem different, especially this one
Have you ever just settled, stood still and heard the wind blow
With nature surrounding, and sounds as fresh water flows
Just sit with your eyes closed, for an hour and you'll see
Exactly what I feel like, to live life and be free (or a tree lol)
Can't wait to say bye, to this rugged life that's so stale
And get my ass movin, on the Applachian Trail
