I saw this over the weekend at Trail Days. Not sure how far back the sign itself dates, but it was very interesting to see nonetheless.

i found it on top of Sugarloaf Mtn., Maine back in 98. my boot caught a corner of it. it was mostly covered over in soil
The ATC moved from DC to Harper's Ferry in 1973, so that sign is probably at least 40 years old. Probably more. It's a remarkable piece of history from what is now a cool blue-blaze.
