Hi All,
I am looking to section hike between Salisbury, CT and Pittsfield, MA. I have found a bus line, Peter Pan, to get me to Pittsfield, MA from my home in Boston, MA. Any advice how on how to get back to Pittsfield, MA once I complete my hike and am in Salisbury, CT? I can't seem to find any shuttles or buses for the town.

BRTA http://www.berkshirerta.com/schedules.php can get you from Gt. Barrington to Pittsfield not sure how you can get from Sailsbury north other than hitching, north on rt. 7

I belive there is a bus which stops at Canaan, 7 miles east of Sailsbury on RT 44.
Peter Pan bus schedules aren't available online right now so I can't verify this info, but I believe there's a bus that runs at least twice a day between Danbury, CT, and Williamstown, MA, with stops at Pittsfield and Sheffield, MA. Sheffield is about 3 or 4 miles from Jug End on the trail and the closest stop to Salisbury.

That's probably the one which stops at Canaan, as the town in right on RT 7, as are all the other towns on that route. It used to stop at Kent too, which was convenient, too bad it doesn't any more.

I'm going to call them tomorrow. Their (peter pan buses) website map shows a stop at Canaan, but when you try to look at the "view schedule / purchase ticket" page, there isn't even an option available for Canaan. Once I get a person on the phone, I'll update.
