Parking @ Ceres, VA, hwy 42

I confess that I was by there a month ago and didn't make good note of the parking. I was too zapped. My understanding is that the adjacent pavilion & its parking are off limits (true?). But is there other parking at the hwy crossing? A long day hike is all I need, not necessarily overnight.

Yes, there is a gravel parking area just about 100 feet to the north of the O'Lystery pavilion, on the same side of the road. And yes, the pavilion itself is off limits due to past abuse by hikers (as I understand it).
