Getting to the trail in Hot Springs [Archive] - WhiteBlaze

Next month, I am going out to finish up my 2005 thru hike. I will finish up in Williamstown, MA. By the time I do that, I will still have 3-4 weeks left before I need to return to the real world. I really enjoyed the southern section and want to hike it again. I want to pick up the trail in Hot Springs and head south to Springer.

I plan on taking the bus from Williamstown down to Asheville. I would like to know what are my options- are there any hostels in the area that offer shuttle services that can get me from Asheville to Hot Springs?

Elmer's staff might also shuttle you if you are staying there.

flyingturtle, I live just outside of Asheville, and would be more than happy to take you up to Hot Springs. There is only one hostel in Asheville, Sweet Pea, downtown.
