It's been pretty gloomy and wet for a long time, but Looks like we are finally(!) going to have some great weather here in the next several days. It's a good thing because there are a couple of great activities coming up around here. First off, the ALDHA Gathering in North Adams starts Friday--see http://www.aldha.org/gathring.htm for all the fun stuff Bill and others have put together.
On Saturday, the Mass AT maintaining club is holding its annual "AT Day", a series of 14 hikes on the AT in Mass. Following the hikes is a cookout at Mass Audubon's Pleasant Valley nature preserve just off of Rt 7 in Lenox. See http://amcberkshire.org/node/257 for more info.
Finally on Monday, ALDHA volunteers and Club volunteers will meet to carry in roofing materials to Nopel Shelter from the Jones' Nose parking area on Mt Greylock. I'll be meeting the ALDHA campers at their campsite around 8:30 on Monday, and we'll get to Jonmes' Nose about 9am. Overnight parking on Monday night at Jones' Nose is available for volunteers who want to camp at Nopel after the carry-in.
Hope to see some WB'ers around here,
Cosmo
