Any recommendations for a good post-hike restaurant in Pearisburg?

Absolutely. The Bank Restaurant across from the Courthouse. Fine northern Italian cuisine. The chef owner Giovanni is incredibly knowledgeable about Italian wines. He uses local ingredients, organic when possible. In June, he prepared a tasting dinner of six courses and five wines for me in response to my challenge. I was not disappointed. One of the best meals of my life, on or off trail. Now you have me salivating!

Two weeks ago I ate at the Mexican place in front of Wal-mart in Pearisburg. I was not real impressed. Slow service (not typical for a Mexican place). Not cheap. But no major complaints. I wish I had gone across the street to the Mom & Pop diner.
Agreed, Mexican place was fine, beer, tequila, tex mex is tex mex, not expensive, I was OK..............only place open that was close, only serious disappointment was that the super market did not sell single serve spam
Wassup with that?

You should have eaten at the other Mexican restaurant in town (La Barranca). It's in town across from the Plaza Motel. Not too pricey, good food, and very friendly. I ate there in June when I was in town. I would definitely recommend it.
