I will start a southbound this year. I am wondering what degree sleping bag to use. I will start in july and dont know when I will end. what do you think? What kind of bag do you use? God Bless.:datz

I have a 15 degree Polarguard Delta fill bag I used last October, and most nights in the Smokies it was too warm. I bought a Kelty Lightyear Down fill bag that is rated at 45 degrees, and I'm section hiking north of Hot Springs in May. I think I will be alright in the Kelty, but I wanted to get a second opinion... |
