May take the quick trip to the Canadian side of Niagara and the kick in another 3 months on the visa to allow a few weeks backtracking and introducing Anne to the people who have been making this such a wonderful trip.

I love TI/ Nat Geo maps. Depending on how printing works for the price of four I have the entire US seems like a deal. I had Delorme Topo US which was nice but didn't show mant shelters, huts, etc. But you could pirnt up to 9 page maps to scale of your choice.

Liquor laws are weird in US. When I did my thru they had a liquor store in Hot Springs. Big debate going on at the time was if they were going to allow beer & wine sales. It was coming up for a vote & town was split.

I will never get sick of NH! For years go to spot was Ethan Pond. 1st time there the caretaker came with me & E on a 15 mile loop that started with a bushwhack where I taught him particle map & compass work. Spent the next day building bog bridges with him. Another trip there I helped with the helicopter drops for the composting privy parts. Another trip I helped with the composting part of the privy at Garfield. As I was assisting the caretaker there I found out I had hiked with his grandparents on my thru!

Just giving back to the trail. Never asked but got work for stay days I helped out. Just wanted to help. If anyone gripes about the fee thsy pay at shelters in the Whites they should help once with the composted! It isn't a pleasant job. I knew that going in but wanted to learn the process.
