No. Its a structure but the clientele can't figure out how to use a door knob on account of all the Filtered water bingeing. That's a great idea for a pool heater now its dual use. We should keep Lochte out of the pool. Between one night stands and peeing he's trouble.

I was surfing once and had a 12" shark fin surface about 10' away from me closer to the beach. I looked around and 20' to my other side where four of five dolphins. They must have been chasing the shark. I was in my kayak so it wasn't that scary. I'm just glad I didn't become their volleyball.

I agree sitting on the beach is boring. I don't tan at all! If I burn I peel then have a whiter layer underneith. The best time to go to the beach is October to December and March to the begining of May when no one is in the water except for surfers and sometimes Canadians.

I'm only about 75% with Eskimo rolls. It's really hard to hold onto a paddle in any waves bigger than about 6' to 7', forget about trying to roll after wiping out on a 10' beach break wave. Your lucky to even be in the boat at that point. Big waves will kick you out of the boat and your spray skirt will be around your ankles. Ocean surfing rolls are more about flowing with the flow of the wave to right your self than traditional rolls. If the waves are breaking in real shallow water you have to let go of the paddle and protect your neck for when you hit the sand upside down.

At the time I used inferior luaun instead of the recommend Marine Oakum at a savings of about 40 dollars a sheet at the time. It was a great project to cut my teeth on (wooden boat building) and the stitch and glue design went together very easy. The build time for that (they say) is about 40 hrs. excluding drying times, though it took me a couple years of just piddle-in around. I'd like to build another one some day, and use some good grade wood that wont delaminate over time. Never took the boat in the bay or river, as a rock would open it up like a cheap tin can, so the protected waters of a lake or pond is where I'd fish. I gotta find some pics of me old yak.

Almost ever key point at the Cafe is to make fun of a dumb question, redundant thread or Sh... Storm.

The Benefits of the Sawer In Line Water Filter are Legion.

References to basements are bacause I was accused of living in my mom's basement.

Other then that it keeps some people away from "very serious" threads about how long cheese will last on the trail.

And all this time I had assumed that the Cafe was a kind of Great Pacific Garbage Patch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pacific_Garbage_Patch) where all the thread drift from the forum ended up. :D

I grew up in Albany when the whaling station there was still operating.
I have seen too many great white sharks to be keen on ocean swimming.
Trips to the northwest here and introduction to saltwater crocodiles hasn't helped.
I stick to swimming in SILWF'ed water!
Oh and we have had homeless people issues in our huts too!
But enough of that.

Bushwalk is probably the most common.
Try http://bushwalk.com/forum/index.php?sid=e8d52ed32ec3d2d8337ded43e5ce0961 I post there sometimes too.
For good (but Tasmanian focused) info on hiking in Australia this guy's pretty good. http://www.john.chapman.name/
Backpacking is another but is also used for travelling in general by young people - predominantly in Europe.
Not much I can say about hiking in heat - I don't.
Hot here is #@&%@# hot.
In Tasmania and the "alpine" regions of Victoria and New South Wales hiking season is spring to summer like the AT region.
In Western Australia (the southwest at least) it is autumn to spring. In summer is the time to walk airconditioned shopping centres.
Anyone interested I heartily recommend my local track as a great 7 week holiday and PM me for info.
