He is pretty old fashioned, he wants to actually check you before he orders any drugs. He has been my doctor for about 30 years and still won't do it. Now after I see him if what he prescribes doesn't work I can call in and he will give me something different. You were lucky to get in. I'm in FL right now and every snowbird and his brother is here. It can be almost 2 weeks to see a doctor. This forces a lot of people to go to the ER for 8 - 12 hrs. No kidding. I'm lucky. I've had my doctor for almost 40 years. My mom was a nurse for 50. My doctor came in at the time my mom was the Chief Admitting Nurse at the hospital. They worked together for years and he will call my scripts in. If he wouldn't I'd be stuck in the crowds.

That's almost exactly what I swapped out. My 215/50R17 "All season" tires looked more like racing slicks than real all season tires, even when they were new. I stopped being able to get up the hills in town unless the roads were freshly plowed. The new set of Bridgestone Blizzacks solved that problem.

I've got a Chevy C1500 2WD Sportside and in Montana I had to put 600lbs. of sand in bags in the azz end just to get it to bite. Had to have a block heater also. Out there, once the truck was started for the day, you didn't shut it off. Left it running even to go into Walmart. Everybody did. Even it if was a couple of hours.

I remember one Christmas break getting snowed in at my in-laws in Northern Indiana. Everyone was smart enough to stay inside except teenage/twenty something guys. First guy got stuck in front of their house my father-in-law takes out a snow shovel, while we watch the kid from inside the house. Shovel left against the mailbox, and there were several more that used over the next few days. Made for great entertainment. ;)

Good news from the doctor, I'm going to pull through. Got broncitus, hope thats how you spell it. He gave me a shot in the butt a script for a z pack and some really good tasting cough syrup. Better tast good, cost almost $30.

I think I should take after my grand dad and great uncle, when they got sick they made a hot toddy out of tea, whiskey, and honey. Probably worked a little like the crystal meth.

Side effects of your family tradition probably not as bad. ;)

Well, I'm just waiting to mark it on my calender. I marked the 2 storms of the century back in '10', and in '08' or '09' had 2 storms of the century. But now they name them so it will be alot easier keeping track of the storms of the century. Now I'm only talking about New England storms of the century.
