Met a unique person on the trail this past weekend and was curiosu if anybody else has had the pleasure of spending some time with Greenhorn. He hopped on the trail up in NH last fall and is hiking south from hut to hut (or lean-to as you yankees call them). Nice guy, interesting story. Just curious if you met him if you have any more of a story to tell than?

Yes, I met him in Duncannon, PA. Hope that the hikers that offered him help in lightening his load did send the mail drops. He is moving right along. Was in Duncannon a month or so ago.

His pack was still 80 lbs when we saw him at the Gravel Springs Hut in SNP last weekend. He was in good spirits and was very good company. Thanks for the link. I hope he is able to get resupplied while in SNP. He was in need of some food so I gave him what I had left over. Van Lloyden gave him his alcohol stove.
