SO I lack the technological knowhow or brains that our friend Chris does, but I did post a bunch of pics from a short hike on the LT from last night/today on a site which you can access by clicking here:

Hope you enjoy, as I did with amazing weather (75 degrees) and beautiful sunshine. I was wondering if anyone can identitfy any of the flowers, since I also have no knowledge in that department.

Those are called purple trillium. It looks like a very nice hike.
Are not, however, GMC mud season guidelines in effect for the Long Trail until Memorial Day, or are your pictures from a previous late Spring? I can see that you were not at high elevation.
Yes guidelines are in effect from the GMC, however we were between 500' and 1800' feet the entire time, and the trail was dry as a bone. I specifically picked this section (Johnson to Plot Rd) because it was very low for the LT and avoided anything close to treeline.
Thanks for the flora info, Al. That's what I thought they were

Dang, the weather in New England looks delightful. It's already hot & humid here in Tennessee. Thanks for sharing the pix A-Train. And hey, those trillium are nice, but your friend is a pretty little flower too.
:clap :clap :clap
Nice pics! Liked the sunset ones esp.!
Man...I do miss Northern New England at times!
