this is plus2........i am planning a thruhike for the spring as well and purchased the hubba hubba.....love it......have not backpacked with it but have camped out in it......i would love to be taking a dog......w me......but looks like ill e going it alone....good luck see you on the trail

Thanks Charlie. Yeah its a Kelty, Backpacker gave it good reviews just wondering how it would hold up on a thru-hike. Got to tent it the whole way & getting a two man because bringing a dog along. Its 4lb 8oz packed. Its between the Salida $150 or the Hubba Hubba $300.
