  3. Preparation hike

    Win preparation for my AT hike I went for a 100 mile hike. Except it was only 90!! Haha. I wanted to be out for a couple days so that I could get used to my gear and the pains my body would go through. On one of my last days out there I noted a few observations.

    1. Glasses will get scratched lenses. Go cheap.
    2. Carry a little cash.
    3. You can always smell worse!!
    4. Nothing is water proof.
    5. Cam shoes would be wonderful.
    6. I eat less than I thought.. ...

  5. My Food

    In an attempt to get ready for the 100 mile wilderness I bought 8 days worth of food and packaged them into single day packages. That way I don't overeat and then have no food! haha.

    I bought some powdered milk and cereal for breakfast. I added 2 bags of dried fruit to the mix to pump it up with those precious vitamins and minerals! That covers my breakfast.

    For snacks throughout the day, I bought peanut butter crackers, cookie packs, bite size snickers, fig newtons, ...
