Tonight finds me at the Holiday Inn express in Hiawasee. Had to take a zero today as the stomach bug that Will had at Neel Gap seems to have come up and caught me faster than Will. I'm not going to be an alarmist but reading about the Hot Springs area and stomach virus sounds very similar here. What I will say is I have learned, now through experience, that trail hygiene although seemingly impossible at times is a must. I know the very nature of hiking puts everyone at a bigger risk of bacteria ...
