Today my quest is to get Henna "my Lab" her hiking boots. Our hike last week on the White Mountains of NH left her with worn paws not bad just a little pink on the edges. Called REI they have them in stock so heading over to pick them up and then also pick up loose odds and ends like a tube of NewSkin, foot powder. Their seems to be no end of last minute items!

We are back on track with training again! It took a little time as Eli had a follow up appointment and ended up wearing his brace for longer then expected. Yesterday we walked one lap around the park and today we made two laps.

I was just curious about who doesn't even bring a sleeping bag on their thru-hike. I am not planning to bring one. I spent over 20 years in the US Army Rangers and I have only used a bag in basic training way back in 1976 at Fort Leonard Wood. Since then I have use a poncho liner to wrap myself in.
