Section Hike this weekend Oct 22 from Springer to Neel GAP.

I am starting this Saturday AM 10/22 a section Hike from Springer Mountain to Neels GAP. Just curious as to the trail traffic and condition of leaves and other info/news? I am planning on 4 days to complete this section. Please advise.

    I did Springer to Neels back in the spring and it took me about 3 1/2 days and it was my first hike of any distance, Sasafras mountain and Blood kicked my butt! I am going from Neels to Deep Gap NC this Sunday (actually the other way around).
    I don't know what the traffic will be like but I assume there will be plenty of folks looking at leaves. Good luck and enjoy!

    It was Ok except around Springer and 3 Forks. I just walked thru and carried on. Great Hike and yeah, those two mounts were tough. I thought Cedar was tough too...but I did it in about the same time but could have done it in 3 easily, just enjoyed the views and Blood Mt.
