Day 13. Yesterday did 11 miles from Windy Stair Gap to Wayah Bald. Total of 120.8 m. Dropped off on trail by Ron haven - local tycoon and stand up comic. Beautiful day even windy side of mtn was warm. Hiked with Pilgrim and Trekker. 2 retirees from CA. Stopped for lunch and realized i had left my cheese and sausage in fridge at motel! However a few miles later saw sign nailed to tree. Coffee/food!.... It was a mobile camp set up by Fresh Grounds, a previous thu hiker who now takes 6 weeks vacation every year and feeds hikers along the trail- more trail magic and great karma. Met Smooth Sailing on last leg of climb up Wayah Bald. He was practically running up trail. Says he can do it cuz of P90-X. I did P90-X and I am trudging along! Got to camp about 4pm and spent first warm night on the trail!!
Thought- I feel like the guy on the Planet Fitness commercial- instead of "I pick things up and put them down", I walk up hills, I walk down hills; I walk up hills, I walk down hills.
