We took a couple of Zeros and shuttled forward for a hotel and to fix or repurchase a new pack for me. A broken pack, knee issues for me, and some side problems for her have slowed us down. With that said, we just took a couple of days off. We will be returning to Mountain Crossings tomorrow to continue on with our thru-hike. I know it's early to be taking zeros, but we are trying to remain healthy. It also rained, so we figured that sitting it out with this cold at night was smart. We will be back on the trail tomorrow.

BTW: Both Suches and Helen are WONDERFUL towns. We are staying at the helendorf. Replacing this pack is gonna sting financially...especially considering we are spending a lot in towns....We gotta get more conservative with our finances.
