The Falls Lake Trail has now 3 primitive campsites and 2 state campgrounds. This will give hikers 60+miles of hiking with camping opportunities.

Durham County
1. Ward Site is Pennys Bend to Redmill Road
2. Panther Creek site is Redwood to Hereford Road
3. Rolling View State Campground

Wake County
4. Shinleaf State Campground
5. Possum Track Site is Bayleaf Church Road to Possum Track Road

Other campsites are in talks along the Neuse River.
