My REI Sub Kilo +15 came yesterday. Yippee! It's not the prettiest thing to look at being lavender and brown (who comes up with these color-schemes, anyway?) but the price was right at $159, I really don't care about the color and it had good ratings. At exactly 2lbs., what's not to like?

When I took it out of the package I thought to myself "How is this thin little thing going to keep me warm?" Well, just about anyone who lives in Florida blasts the AC until it's about 68° in the house so I laid the bag out on the bed and crawled in. Wow! Its so soft and comfy, and being used to the old camping bags that are huge and wide and lined with flannel and take forever to get warm inside, if they ever do, I was so pleasantly surprised to feel the bag warm up inside almost immediately. Then when I pulled the hood down over my head I knew I had got the right thing. The bag fits close to my body so there's no room for cold air and the goose down is so soft and warm. It also came with a stuff sack and I was so surprised so see how that long bag fits into that little sack and then just slides right down into the corner of my pack. Perfect.
