I am looking at doing an A.T. section hike this summer and am trying to iron out my clothing before hand. I have a LWCWUS undershirt, under armor style boxers, and a lightweight nylon belt for use while hiking. I have a set of military polartec silkweight underwear, shirt and pants, to wear while sleeping. While I am open to advice on all other items, I am specifically looking for recommendations on socks and conv. pants. I also have an older Columbia Titanium Interchangable jacket shell and New Balance 411 ATs for hiking. And no wise comments like I have gotten from some people I have actually talked to. "We can learn a lot from wise words and less from a wise guy." Here is a link for the LWCWUS undershirt. http://www.kpsurplus.com/buy/u_s_mil...us_large/32890

I'm not sure whether this is the right forum category but I couldn't find a category specific to eye wear.

I use prescription glasses and have both regular distance glasses and prescription sunglasses. However, the prescription sunglasses do not provide full side protection since the frame is more intended for city use or casual activities. I'm thinking about buying Cocoon overglasses which seem reasonably priced at $50 and don't look too bad online. They are designed to be used over my regular prescription glasses. If anyone uses cocoon or another brand of overglasses any input would be great. My preference is to ideally have glacier glasses or sunglasses with better coverage with prescription lenses but right now this is cost prohibitive as well as time prohibitive since I've procrastinated and leave for my trip to the Grand Canyon a week from today.

Thanks.
