Ok, I admit it. Im useless in the food prep area. Im tired of failed home made dehydrated food. Im tired of high dollar freeze dried commercial food. Does anyone out there have a cottage industry of selling good dehydrated food at a reasonable price?

Harmony House sells some really cool dehydrated kits. I picked up the Backpacking food kit for $45. Got tons of meals out of it and really good. Check out trailcooking.com for recipes.

I don't sell dehydrated products but only fresh poultry but I found this source some time ago for dehydrated meats and veggies.

What's there to ruin? Put the peas or green beans or canned chicken on the dehydrator rack. Press the button. Let it dry. Put it in snack ziplocs. Add to rice, or couscous or the dreaded ramen. :)

I think if you love the trail and want to eat well, I suggest getting Sabars FBC book and read up on the subject and try a few meals in the kitchen. Then hit the trail.
Yeah...I can agree with that WOO - over the years I have been asked about doing food and my theory is I am fine doing recipes instead :D Too much hard work IMO. That is one reason I love Sarah and her family at Packit as well - they do the hard work for me :D
