Lodging caution for Big Bear Lake May 18, 2012

AMGEN Tour of California professional bike race finishes Stage 6 at Big Bear Lake on May 18th. I would suspect that the lodging choices may be limited that night and perhaps the night before. Nothing other than a heads up. Looking at my May 7th+/- start, I will likely miss it but it may be right in the middle of other hikers plans. There is a story on one of their pages about the impact on hotels. In 7 years they have booked 50,000 hotel rooms. I would bet that any hotel, hostel, etc may be full.
