Yea, large holes aren't any good and trying "12" smaller holes is very ambitious, but definitely worth giving a shot. Throw in another beer and trying a number of other holes that fit your diameter...

Leki's are the way to go...Hiked in Okinawa during a course of 3 years where the hills/terrain contain a lot of sharp coral/lava outcrops which really beats-up your in a hurry...not my Leki's!! W-W
