I made several pairs of gaiters- still going strong!- , a full down coat and pants outfit, booties, vests, day pack or 2, and even a great dog pack! Those kits were excellent!

This stuff is great! It reminds me of those old fashioned candies called "Mary Janes". Good recipe for the celiac hubby, too. I like to spread it on a bagel for a quick breakfast.

My experience with trails that horses use - up around the Loyalsock Trail- have been rough. They really rip up the terrain!

There are lots of little parking areas in the middle of the 2 loops and great spots to camp in. You should easily cpver those trails from the middle.

Pinchot is a wonderful trail that makes a nice break from the crowds on the AT. Loads of sites near water & fairly easy terrain. Bring your waterproof shoes- there are swampy areas sprinkled...

"Laughing Cow" cheeses- wrapped in wax, are wonderful! I slide them into the hydration pouch next to my Camelbak and they are protected and cool.
