The 807's did replace the 806's I hiked in 806's from Port clinton to Andover and loved them. I did upgrade to the 906's when I tried on a pair of the new 807's. The 906 is an awesome shoe. loved it

It is a big shelter but I somehow missed this 2nd level both times I have stayed there. Definitely my favorite shelter on the trail. COLDEST water source too.
I was just at the shelter on Sunday. The water was slow but running. Not too many pools to pump from though. Lots of skeeters so bring your spray.
I made rice noodles with a spicy thai peanut sauce(curry, peanut butter, sesame seeds, oil, water). Of course now that I have the jetboil i am limited to boiling stuff. No more tuna quesadillas.
