what happens when they get 3-4 feet of snow on the trail? how do you hike threw that deep of snow? and if its coming down like it is in buffalo ny how do you keep your shelter from caving in on you...

does it matter??? at least they are trying to find her.... if i wasnt starting a fight with cancer right now i would go help too......

ok so we started hiking/camping early this year and im tired of freezing my azz off!!! our old sleeping bags must be for 50* weather because anything below that and we freeze :( AND they are too...

so her husband says " she wandered off trail a couple times already but only for a few hundred yards" i never heard this info before

and what do they think they are going to find in the spring??? IF she is out there there wont be anything left by spring :(

i dont know about the memorial service thing,,, i dont know if its just me or not but by having a memorial service for somebody to me is giving up any hope she "could" be found alive, its not been...

ive read all over that the GSMNP park is off limits to local day hikers and section hikers... so how are they determining WHO is a section hiker and who is a thru hiker??? we had planned to do some...

well i think it all smells to high heaven from the beginning BUT offering the reward MIGHT get more people out in the woods looking for her, ALSO IF there was foul play the person responsible MIGHT...

man that just puts a crimp in the day :( i wonder if the surrounding towns and sheriff's departments have been notified just incase they find somebody with no id on them....

i sure hope they find her, this is so sad i come here 2-3 times a day if not more to check this post :( i just pray to God that they find her AND find out it was an accident that took her from us...

in the beginning i was hopeful they would find her hurt along the trail somewhere, BUT after 3-4 days of searching and not finding ANYTHING then my thought went to foul play i didnt say much of...
