Looks great! Thanks.
and Pine Grove Furnace State Park is just North of Birch Run Shelter. Very easy to access. Nice store with ice cream!
I've had my BlackRock hat for two years now. Love it! Well made, comfortable to wear, very warm, super light.
Two excellent films. Thanks LionKing!
Thanks for sharing. Card sent
Nice reference. I've had times, especially in the fall, when I wished I could do this.
not a bad idea. Cloth tape works well to write on and adhere to what ever is needed. I'd suggest not marking things a bit inconspicuously, yet easy enough to note if need be.
Thank You!

I bet that would be loud during a rain storm!! Try it out, but have a back up plan just in case.
If I'm correct, that's 16 miles in 5 1/2 hours. Almost a 3mph hike pace. Back off the mileage and pace a bit to start. Enjoy the trail, each and every mile! The trail is waiting for you when you...
That's awesome!! I hope it's a fun trip for all, and the first of many for you and your friends to get out and enjoy - together.
ATC, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, has the maps for this area. www.appalchiantrail.org
I have my main gear that I want to keep dry in stuff sacks, then inside a trash compactor bag. Pack covers and me don't get a long, especially when it's windy, blowing rain or snow.
As for me,...
I hope to make the Lexington, VA event. Thanks for the info on this.
Colorado Trail is already there. Not that building another long trail is a bad idea or something. Just sayin...

They've talked of doing this for awhile now. It'll add a nice view and some pretty trail.
