I found the addresses listed for Fullington Trailways and for a Greyhound stop, but I couldn't find any information on what those addresses are.
Greyhound
Bus station address: 205 Mill Street,...
It's a little confusing up there. My understanding is that Metro North owns the stations in NY but they are serviced by NJ Transit trains. The NJ Transit site is the correct place to get the...
Thanks Mary, I'll and those in and see if I can find out about the Trailways station.
Thanks, Jeff. I actually stayed at the Green Mountain House last June.
I'll add in the Manchester stuff, I didn't realize how close to Manchester Center it was and didn't think it would be that...
I put this together and figured it would be good info to put here: http://gettherefromanywhere.weebly.com/articles/public-transportation-along-the-appalachian-trail
Found a different shuttle provider, now $110 for one or two.
Looking at doing a section hike in the Smokies next month and will likely book a shuttle from Knoxville to Fontana Dam the morning of 5/8. It's $165 for one or two so if anyone would be looking to...
Just keep laughing!
Survey taken, glad to help.
Great advice, thanks!
New shelter is beautiful
Maybe a little water
Anyone know when the cabin opens back up in the spring?
Very odd indeed.
I dropped my camera yesterday around Harrington's View on my way up Bolton Mt. If anyone finds or hears of anyone finding a Sony digital camera, please let me know. I am offering a reward, but I am...
A week in the Whites, a weekend in the Catskills and the LT planned for the rest of summer.
8/22 start date - NOBO
I have to say I was a little disappointed that moron didn't end up getting attacked.
I'll be up at the AT Lodge for a couple days and climbing Katahdin 7/7. Anyone else going to be in the area?
I will be starting NOBO later that week, probably closer to the 21st or 22nd than the 19th.
My main advice would be don't carry a lot of food. This section gets the nickname "the deli run" sometimes because there's a deli less than a mile from the trail just about every day. First one is...
There's lots of places to catch a bus or train along the western edge of Harriman: Suffern, Tuxedo, Southfields, Arden, and Harriman at least. There's Bear Mt Inn and Jones Point for buses on the...
I've taken that bus a few times and it's usually pretty empty. There's a train station a few miles away on the other side of the bridge that shouldn't be affected much by the North Face events.
Nice pic...I'm hoping it'll get to crampons but no snowshoes needed conditions by Sat.
