badlands is made in vietnam and i seriously doubt big agnes is made in the USA.
i can. custom work is my favorite.
and dyneema really is a good tent fabric in my opinion. very strong and easy to work with.
this gridstop x is waterproof and i installed waterproof ykk zippers on both doors. i figure, if you're...
they are not for everybody but after many attempts at finding my ideal back country lodging, this is the best that i could come up with. the simplicity of the shape is tolerant of so many different...

a picture sure would help the diagnosis. my guess without seeing the damage is that you need to cut out the bad spot, dress the cut out edges with a light layer of silicone or tear mender, let that...
the Bighorns are a real gem... i will spend the rest of my days near them.
here is a photo of the prototype 5 man tipi under construction...

the white tipi is my own personal 5 man and the canopy with a stovejack and single door weighs only 26 oz.
i use a dead limb for a centerpole and will usually cut my own tent stakes.

i never use a floor. just more weight to pack. here is my latest floorless tipi. it is similar to the one i use for sustained backcountry hunts in the fall....

here is one of my latest...

a kit would be a good option if you have sewing knowledge...... you can make a mock-up out of old bed sheets to get in the groove and refine your tent from there, i don't recommend silnylon projects...
