Thanks for the input ... the hard part for me is that I am a large guy and need the Long bags and Pad ... I have also looked at and tried out the solo tents/tarp tents and really find them too small...

I cant wait to get given a trail name ... having grown up playing sports all my life different names are in my blood. It was a joke on the university hockey team I played for last year when out golie...

The big 4(if taken) pack, tent, sleeping bag/pad.... how much does yours or should yours weight? I think mine might be a bit heavy at 15 pounds 1 OZ.

How bright is the Petzl e+lite? i was looking at the
Petzl Myo XP LED Headlamp at REI and it was really bright ... how do people feel about that?

I really am just thinking about one a day... I dont want to carry a stove :-( and eat other things the rest fo the time - thoughts on that idea?

I think im looking for something dependable that takes reg Bat. and works well enough to see at night (taking a pee) and read as well ...

Interested in buying a MSR HUBBA HUBBA for a planned thru-hike in April 2010...has anyone used one - or heard of one being used for a thru-hike? Thanks for the info ~:D

Oh and a little bit about my thoughts for the trail... I am looking to complete in about 150 days and not hitting any resupply for about 6-7 days. It wont be a killer hike but I like to think I can...
